Richard J. Henken

Mr. Henken officially joined Schochet Associates as its Executive Vice President in 1997, after having been affiliated with, and an advisor to, the company for more than a decade. In 2004, Mr. Henken became President of Schochet Associates and Federal Management (Schochet's wholly owned property management subsidiary). Since joining the company Mr. Henken has been responsible for closing transactions with a total value in excess of $270 million, including the acquisition and preservation as affordable of over 2,000 apartments in thirteen developments.

Mr. Henken earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Economics from Tufts University, and a Master of Science degree in Management, with concentrations in Marketing and Finance, from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. Prior to joining Schochet Associates, Mr. Henken was a marketing and strategy consultant to Fortune 500 companies and held senior marketing positions in the financial services and consumer packaged goods industries. Mr. Henken sits on the Board of Directors of the Inner City Scholarship Fund; the Rental Housing Association where he is Secretary and chairs the Affordable Housing Committee; and the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service at Tufts University. He is a member of the Economics Advisory Board of the Tufts Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Housing Committee of Hebrew Senior Life, the Development Committee of Thayer Academy, the Dover (MA) Housing Partnership, and the Caryl School Reuse Committee.
