Congratulations to Peter Lewis, The Schochet Companies executive vice president of property management, on being named New England Affordable Housing Management Association (Neahma) Certified Green Property Management credential holder of the year.
Lewis has led the Schochet Green Team since its inception in 2009, working closely with Schochet COO David Flad and Director of Facilities Robert Weber, as well as Ilene Mason of Rethinking Power Management, to implement ground-up sustainability & energy conservation initiatives across the Schochet portfolio.

Schochet-managed communities have realized an overall energy use reduction of nearly 16.4%; an overall water use reduction of 17.4% and CO2 emissions reduction of 20.7%.
Mr. Lewis has 30+ years of experience in affordable housing, joining Schochet in November 2006 as Vice President of Property Management and is currently responsible for 34 communities housing 5,500 families across New England. He is on the National Affordable Housing Management Association Executive Council and is Chair-elect of the NAHMA - National Affordable Housing Management Association Board.
