BRAINTREE, MA, October 16, 2025 – Reflecting the ongoing expansion and development of its portfolio of properties, Schochet has named Robert E. Weber as director of construction management and has promoted David Sutton to assume Weber’s previous role as director of facilities.

Weber, a resident of Scituate, MA, joined Schochet as director of facilities in 2020, following roles as director of engineering, plant operations & maintenance at Falmouth Hospital and facility manager, plant operations & maintenance at Cape Cod Hospital.  He graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a degree in Marine Engineering in 2008; worked in the offshore drilling industry for eight years; and then obtained his United States Coast Guard license as Chief Engineer and embarked upon a career in engineering, providing services for healthcare, commercial, residential, industrial and institutional industries including planning and commissioning services for emergency power systems; and offering master planning services to determine short-, mid- and long-term opportunities to reduce energy, control costs, and improve operational efficiency.

Sutton, a resident of West Bridgewater, MA, joined Schochet in 2022, as assistant director of facilities, after positions as facilities director for the Department of Mental Health Brockton Multi Service Center and for the Town of Norwell.  In his new role, he will ensure maintenance of the physical condition of Schochet’s entire portfolio of commercial and residential properties, including grounds and landscape; oversee maintenance superintendents and ensure adherence to policies and procedures; and act as Schochet’s safety officer.

Schochet President and CEO Richard Henken, said, “As the Schochet portfolio continues to expand, while also maintaining the highest of standards and expectations for the environment and facilities in the communities we currently serve, the need became clear for two distinct dedicated leadership positions to oversee and coordinate both construction and facilities management. In his new role as director of construction management, Rob will address the need for centralized oversight, strategic planning, and consistent execution across our increasingly complex development and rehabilitation construction projects.  As assistant director of facilities, Dave has excelled in managing ongoing facilities challenges and projects throughout the portfolio, most notably overseeing our preparedness and compliance with HUD’s National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate. I look forward to the new strides Schochet will make in safety standards, quality control and operational efficiency through the combined efforts of these two proven professionals.”
